Sowing season is from June to November. Sowing method: transplanting; spacing: R-R: 5 ft; P-P: 1 ft.
Chilli is a tropical and subtropical plant that requires a mix of warm, humid, and dry weather. It requires warm and humid weather during the growth period. A dry environment, on the other hand, is ideal for fruit maturation. The optimal temperature range for chilli growth is between 200 and 250 °C. Crop development is hampered at temperatures of 370°C or greater.
pH Requirement -
The pH of the earth should be between 6.5 and 7.5. (neutral soil). It will not grow in saline or alkaline soil.
Seedlings of chilli
Chilli seeds are frequently grown in nurseries, and the seedlings are then transplanted.
Following planting, the seeds are covered with coco peat and watered daily until they germinate.
After 15 days, approximately 3% of the Panchagavya spray is applied, and an 18-day vitamin spray is applied.
The seedlings are moved when they are 35 days old.
Transplanting -
After dipping the seedlings in a 0.5% Pseudomonas fluorescens solution for half an hour, they are transplanted into the main area.
