Symptoms
- Nymphs and adults suck the sap of inflorescence
- Shedding of flower buds and flowers
- Presence of honey dew secrecation on lower leaves and development of sooty mould.

Preventive Measures
Avoid dense plantings, maintained open canopy; prune overcrowded overlapping branches after rainy season.
Orchards should be kept clean by regular ploughing and removal of weeds.
