Mode of action -
➜ Pyriproxyfen in the final call, being an igr. It controls all three stages of the whitefly. It prevents the hatching of eggs, inhibits the metamorphosis of nymph to adult, and causes sterility in adults.
➜ A simultaneously final call gives a quick knockdown effect on the adult white flies by its contact & stomach action. Bifenthrin, in the final call, is a pyrethroid that affects the central and peripheral nervous system by interfering with sodium channel gating. Delay in the closure of the sodium channel results from paralysis and death of treated insects.
