🌱 About the control of white grub pest in sugarcane crops -
Farmer friends, May and June are the breeding season of white grub insect, so during the month of July-November, the problem of this insect is seen more in the sugarcane crop. The female worm lays eggs in the soil. The larvae hatched from the eggs are semicircular and white in color and feed on sugarcane roots. As a result, sugarcane stems dry up and leaves turn yellow.
Preventive measures:
1. Deep plowing of the soil should be done so as not to affect the white grub.
2. Mix the pesticide Metarhizium anisoplii with cow dung.
3. Carbofuron should be used as granular insecticide in basal dose.
