Product Description -
Brigade-B is a naturally occurring entomopathogenic fungus that acts as an effective biological control agent against a wide range of insect pests. It infects and eliminates harmful insects like mealy bugs aphids, whiteflies, thrips, beetles, and caterpillars by penetrating their outer shell and disrupting their metabolic functions. This eco-friendly and non-toxic bioinsecticide is safe for beneficial insects, making it ideal for integrated pest management (IPM) in both conventional and organic farming.
Mode of Action -
Brigade B is an entomopathogenic fungus that infects and kills insect pests. When the conidia or blastospores of Brigade B come into contact with the cuticle (outer skin) of insect pests, they germinate. The fungus then penetrates the insect’s body, proliferates, and produces entomotoxins, ultimately leading to the insect's death. After killing the host, Brigade B colonizes the insect cadaver and produces more conidia, which continue to spread in the field to infect and control other insect pests.
