Product Description -
Elpida (Emamectin) belongs to naturally occurring Avermectin group of insecticide and is good for controlling chewing pests such as bollworms in cotton and fruit and shoot borers in okra.

➔ It acts on the nerve cells within hours to suppress muscle contraction thus inhibiting the larvae from feeding, providing rapid crop protection.
➔ It controls larvae of a whole range of insects primarily by ingestion but also affects contact activity. Its activity is fast as it kills the larvae while it's still inside the egg, increasing residual activity.
➔ It lacks intrinsic toxicity and a mode of action is mainly via ingestion rather than contact activity, hence it's considered biologically selective for some beneficial species
