Dhanpreet is a highly effective systemic insecticide for the control of aphids, jassids, and whiteflies in cotton crops. Dhanpreet is a well-known neonicotinoid insecticide for sucking insects.

Dhanpreet exhibits a systemic translaminar action. It acts as an agonist to nAch and thus has a novel mechanism of action on the nervous systems of insects. It also exhibits triple action: ovicidal, adulticidal, and larvicidal.
